Mission Statement

Young Men on Tour is a 501(c)3 non-profit male mentoring program for at-risk young men in Harford County, Maryland. The mission is to support at-risk males academically, socially, and emotionally. The overall goal is to assist with the awkward transition from boyhood to manhood, which is essential for their success.

Goals

YMOT strives to support the following goals:

Develop and support self-respect while also encouraging respect for the community.
Establish accountability while maintaining true friendships.
Focus on personal care and hygiene.
Encourage drug and alcohol prevention.

Program Details

Here are some of the things we do for the students:

Weekly group meets during the academic school year
Any middle school young man attending a public school is eligible to attend
Meeting format includes homework assistance, open discussions, guest speakers, field trips, and sport integration.
